City Quote # 262
“This City is what it is because our citizens are what they are.”
PLATO
This summer I visited the Hungarian capital, Budapest. The river Danube crosses the heart of the city, dividing Pest and Buda. Walking on the Pest side of the Danube I had seen a spectacular sunset over the Buda side. You can see the Chain Bridge across the river.
San Francisco Aphorism #144
“I love this city. If I am elected, I’ll move the White House to San Francisco. Everybody’s so friendly.”
ROBERT KENNEDY
San Francisco Aphorism #143
“Leaving San Francisco is like saying goodby to an old sweetheart. You want to linger as long as possible.”
WALTER CRONKITE
San Francisco Aphorism #142
“San Francisco has only one drawback —’tis hard to leave.”
RUDYARD KIPLING
New York Air Aphorism #64 NYC/1
“There is something in the New York air that makes sleep useless.”
SIMON DE BEAUVOIR
Hi Everyone,
I am launching a series of my photographs about the way I see NYC. Will contribute a new shot every week or so to this upcoming portfolio. Start with more conventional captures and then venture to be a little different. Spent a couple of days to celebrate my brother-in-law in the city in 2011 and nearly suffered a visual overload. You simply cannot exhaust the possibilities to find something unique in the Big Apple. As I did in the past, I try to connect each shot with a quote.
Be my judge. Invite you for a journey. Your comments or remarks are welcome.
Cheers,
Robert
