“With a few flowers in my garden, half a dozen of pictures and some books, I live without envy.”
LOPE DE VEGA
Well, this is a nice dream about an idyllic life.
Happy Easter to all my fellow bloggers.
“Venice once was dear, The pleasant place of all festivity, The revel of the earth, the masque of Italy.”
“Venice is like eating an entire box of chocolate liquors in one go.”
“You desire to embrace it, to caress it, to posses it; and finally a soft sense of possession grows up and your visit becomes a perpetual love affair.”
“How strange a vehicle it is, coming down unchanged from times of old romance, and so characteristically black, the way no other thing is black except a coffin–a vehicle evoking lawless adventures in the plashing stillness of night, and still more strongly evoking death itself, the bier, the dark obsequies, the last silent journey.”
I have always been fascinated with the gondola. It is such a characteristically unique vehicle associated with Venice. The red double decker bus of London or the yellow cab of New York comes to mind as similarly iconic features of a city . Anyway, Thomas Mann describes very well this timeless vehicle.

Enjoyed shooting folks on a cool photo walk in New York City. We are different humans, aren’t we?
“Never love anyone who treats you like you are ordinary.”
“Why change? Everyone has his own style. When you have found it, you should stick to it.”
“Nobody realizes it that some people expends tremendous energy merely to be normal.”
“It is only in adventure that some people succeed in knowing themselves – in finding themselves.”
“Either write something worth reading or do something worth writing.”
“You fail only if you stop writing.”
“You must stay drunk on writing so reality cannot destroy you.”
“Writing is a form of therapy; sometimes I wonder how all those who do not write, compose or paint can manage to escape the madness, melancholia, the panic and fear which is inherent in a human situation.”
“Writing, to me, is simply thinking through my fingers.”

With an amazing number of varieties, orchids are known for their particular elegance, delicate beauty and exotic character. Evolving through an intricate history, the meaning of orchids includes love, beauty, luxury and refinement. Orchids represent one of the largest flowering plant families with an estimated twenty five thousand different types.
“Each flower is a soul opening out to nature.”
