Urban exploration

“There is no abstract art. You must always start with something. Afterward you can remove all traces of reality.”

PABLO PICASSO

Walking downtown Harrisburg I noticed this statue. The abstract nature of the contemporary art caught my attention. Liked the contrast between the convoluted reflections of the statue and the straight lines of the background buildings. It symbolises to me the urban isolation and loneliness of millions of people.

Colors, like features, follow the changes of the emotions.

There is no abstract art. You must always start with something. Afterward you can remove all traces of reality.

PABLO PICASSO

Walking in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania this abstract and wildly colorful thing caught my attention. The tight framing and the saturated, vivid colors make a strong visual impact. The main subject is the forms and the colors. This is pretty much my first venture into the abstract world. Do you like it? Do you prefer the first or second picture?
