Some of my animal portraits #315

Here are some of my drawings of various animals including a lion, a tiger and a dog. The dog was my beloved friend who passed away years ago. His name was Ficko.

I used Derwent drawing pencils on 9×12″ toned paper.

Any comments or critiques are welcome.

My dog Aphorisms #105

Image

“We long for an affection altogether ignorant of our faults.  Heaven has accorded this to us in the uncritical canine attachment.”

GEORGE ELIOT

“The more I see of man, the more I like of dogs.”

Mme. DE STAEL

“If you pick a starving dog and make him prosperous, he will not bite you. This is the principal difference between a dog and a man.”

MARK TWAIN

This is a portrait of my beloved dog, named Ficko. He is the best dog on Earth. Period.

Aphorism #3

my dog“If you pick up a starving dog and make him prosperous, he will never bite you. That is the difference between dog and man.”

Mark Twain

Why do our fellow citizens betray us so frequently? Why do we have so few faithful friends? Why do we read about so much human betrayal while turning the pages of our history? I think we can learn a lot from our dogs.

This is my dog, Ficko. Whenever I come home after a hectic, busy day, he greets me and is ready for a nice, relaxing walk.
