  1. Your images are so beautiful, Robert! Thank you for sharing them. They’re just so evocative… You’ve shot straight to the top of my “favourite blog” list 🙂

      • You’re very welcome! And sad but true, I’ve never seen snow. My brother jokes that I could just open our freezer that hasn’t been defrosted properly. Haha. I’d absolutely love to see it but it may have to wait a year or so… I’m going to try and get on the student exchange program with my university and spend 6 months in the US or Canada 🙂

  2. Just came home from a refreshing walk in the first snow of the season. It is pure magic to be out there when everything is covered by snow . Aphorism #45 is for you 🙂

    • Thank you so much! I really want to experience it first hand now…since my last comment to you this morning, I’ve been researching student exchange prerequisites. I have all these romantic notions of drinking brandy by an open fire with snow falling outside the window. It’s 33 degrees Celsius here today and so humid that I feel like I’m suffocating. I just want to put the snow photo on my laptop screen and think cold thoughts. Haha 🙂

      • Well, how about an open fire out there in the back country with snow falling and enjoying a hot drink (brandy is okay) after a long day of dog sled journey? LJC, tell me your first name, please…

  3. Nice to meet you, Leah. The distance between us is only roughly 12500 km.
Sorry, no photo. Must admit I just keep on daydreaming about that dog sled journey though I have some preconceived images of it in my mind just in case 🙂 Fantasy is without boundaries. By the way, walking on the beach enjoying 33 degrees Celsius and a nice breeze is not bad either. How far are you from the sea?

    • Nice to meet you too! Well, long story made short, for all of my 20’s I lived approximately 100 meters from the beach. Then at 30, I moved back to the city to study Architecture so I’m now about 120km from any (decent) beaches. I was too busy working and being stressed out to really enjoy the sea when I was living ocean-front… It’s a mistake I won’t make twice! 🙂

      • Sight…Never had a chance to live ocean-front growing up in a land locked small country in the heart of Europe… Actually, done with showeling snow around the house. Next snow storm is coming tomorrow with 2-4 inches of accumulation predicted.
Leah, tell me about your Architecture studies?

      • Can I ask which country? The snow still sounds magical, despite the necessary shovelling 🙂 And I have to sleep now because I’m exhausted but I’ll go one better and write a blog about my studies in the next day or 2… I think I might have too much to say to fit it just in the comments section!

  4. Sure, my home country is Hungary. Understand, you’re a couple of hours ahead of me…15 hours, to be exact, 2:33 AM. Time to go to bed. Let me know when you’re done with your blog. Good night 🙂
